Hang in there

ive been away so long.... im getting reviewed TOMORROW! to see if i pass my grad school course and ive been busy putting my "A" game together for this ... but hang in there ill be back soon and maybe even with a post to show you what im up to. wish me luck

i have been thinking about simple ways to decorate for the holidays - i found some serious inspiration on the website of colonial williamsburg -i love that most of these wreaths are simple, chic and uses everyday materials in their creation -

loving the use of a simple scollop shell and the frosty blue of the juniper berries - lovely for a costal cottage -perhaps the ones with fruit would even be snacks for squirrels and birds after the holiday!

sumptuous summer tables

there is something about scrubbed down wood, large colorful napkins and little bits of sparkling glass that get me every time and... it is so simple and so beautiful but man it make me hungry! don't these just make you think about warm slightly humid nights with red wine and lovely fresh vegetables from the garden dotting the table. it also makes me think about good friends and family - because when your sharing a table with them you don't need much else.

this is my idea of heaven.
