like many of you i am so excited to decorate for the holidays. even in my teeny tiny apartment a few holiday baubles and such appear here and there.

I also love how most of us have some association with tradition or ritual practiced over and over again at this time of year and often handed down from generation to generation.

i just love this idea from acountryfarmhouse .... its so pretty and neat and organized! i would much rather open my kitchen draw and see this instead of the grey metal organizer i have from le target ... im going to be on the look out for some baskets that fit in my draw

warmth in wood - cutting boards

i have a great affinity for wood, especially in the kitchen - one of the things i treasure is a wood bread board my mom gave me - i love the way serving food on wood adds a wonderful rustic wholesome quality -

this lovely belongs to my mom - its an old pub board from europe and i jut love the way i makes a wonderful large cheese board for parties!
